To my loyal followers, I apologize for being MIA. I could make a world of excuses, but the truth is I have been preoccupied. Some Tupelo Honey related and some not. I won’t bore you with the details, but instead I will give you the 411 on the things that have come out of this small hiatus:
First, Retail
We started the process of trying to step into the retail arena. Retail as in being in locations that are not our store front. This has been a difficult task with some bumps in the road, but we are coming along. You can currently find us at the Crested Duck Charcuterie (see previous post).
Second, Collaboration
We have been doing some new and exciting projects. We began working with a new artist, Leatrice, who works in paper. She made us some boxes that were just perfect for a destination wedding that wanted a bit of Pittsburgh in them. With Leatrice, we are also working on tea party packs that will be available for purchase on our website (more to come with this).
Third, The Garden (Tea) Party
The Mattress Factory’s big event the Urban Garden Party (#UGP2012) is coming up. This year’s theme is Alice in the Factory. This is our favorite event of the year and this year we will be under the main tent. If you know me personally, I have set lofty goals for my space (big surprise). This is Tupelo Honey Teas’ time to get out and get funky!
Fourth, New News!
We’re working on getting some new things in place. Our website is always in need of updating, but there are some great things planned for that. Also, we are beginning a new thing called “TUPELO TUESDAYS”. On those days we will be offering special deals to our Facebook and Twitter followers. If you do not already follow us on social media, you should!
Fifth, Google+
Speaking of social media, we are now on Google+. We’re still unsure of that platform, but learning. Eventually TUPELO TUESDAYS will apply to G+, plus we will be running our own Google+ specials. Again, once we learn how to properly use it.
Don’t Forget the Tea!
Lastly, the tea. We are hoping to have some new flavors soon. Suggestions are always welcome!
Thank you all for being patient. It is my hope that we will be back to posting every Friday morning. And I’d love to hear from you as to what kinds of things you want to read about on this blog. One question I’ve been getting a lot lately is about steeping time and temperatures. That may be our post next week!
Bee Well. Drink Tupelo Honey Teas.
The Tea Lady
