Last weekend was one of those OMG hot weekends. We hit 100 degrees for several days in a row…. maybe more like a week of hot hot hot days. In any case, I was slated to go to the Pittsburgh Public Market. My experience told me that on hot days there wasn’t much of a crowd. And the people who do make it want COLD things. I was thinking about what kind of iced tea to make when it occurred to me that maybe tea icees were the answer.
A Cool Tea Treat
To be fair, I had been experimenting with popsicles, but decided they would...
I have posted in the past about making sun tea. Since today is one of the most perfect days to make sun tea and I have had a few questions concerning sun tea, I thought a post necessary.
Most people either A. Do not have any clue as to what sun tea is or B. Are deathly afraid of trying it because they heard it wasn’t safe. Then of course there are those, like me, who revere sun tea. So let’s answer some questions…..

Many years ago I contracted mono from a boyfriend. It was not any mono but a super bug version of mono which put me in the hospital for an extended stay and caused jaundice to my liver. This was way before I stared Tupelo Honey Teas but if you read my bio, was not too early in my life to use herbal remedies to help with ailments.
Insert Milk Thistle and Dandelion Root Teas.
I went on a round robin drinking regimen of Roasted Dandelion Root, Milk Thistle (in tea form) and water. What the doctor told me would take months of recovery took...

Last year I paid a friend’s deed in cookies, namely tea related cookies. One of the recipes I made was a Chai Tea Chewie Cookie. So when I had the Urban Garden Party coming up, I wanted to make them to hand out with tea. I was in the dessert room of the event and thought it would be fitting to show people how to use tea as not only a drink but also as a cookie. I searched but do not believe this is the recipe I originally had followed for my friend’s cookies…. I could be wrong. I did tweak it slightly so here it is...

Sometime this past fall, I was turned on to steeping tea into vodka. To be more specific, steeping Cinnamon Plum Tea into vodka. I got the grand idea to steep a gigantic bottle of it and then re-bottle into smaller bottles to give away for Christmas. My Cricut machine was collecting dust due to my time limitations with being at the Pittsburgh Public Market, so I broke it out, dusted it off and made custom labels. They turned out really cute.
I have been telling people at the market about this new fascinating thing to do with tea. Who...
