This is a traditional tea in Japan. Green Sencha Tea is blended with toasted brown rice for a malty, mild, and delicious flavor. For people who do not like the taste of Japanese Green Tea this is a great entree into that world. The rice mellows out the grassy flavor of the tea making it a very popular drink. Also if you are lucky, you will have a “pop rice” kernel in your bag (looks like popcorn)!

Jasmine Green Tea is a blend of Jasmine flowers and Green Tea. The tea is blended and then allowed to rest so the scent of Jasmine infuses the leaves. It is one of the most fragrant of the teas Tupelo Honey Tea’s has to offer.
As with any other Green Tea, do not steep with boiling water and only allow to remain in the water for about 2-4 minutes.

This “Green Tea” is technically not made with the leaves, but instead the twigs of the tea plant. It contains much less caffeine than the leaves but retains most of the beneficial properties. For these reasons, elderly and children can benefit from this particular type of tea.
Tupelo Honey Tea’s Kukicha has been roasted for a wonderfully rounded taste. Some people have claimed it tastes like the tea they drink at a chinese restaurant. We just think it tastes good!
Because these are twigs, they can be steeped at boiling. The steep time is 2-4 minutes, although leaving them longer will only produce a stronger blend, not bitter the cup as with other teas.
