Traditional Sencha

$10.00 Previous Next

Japanese Sencha tea is one of the more expensive teas to purchase. Some of the reasons for the cost is because of the cost to grow it on valued Japanese land and because most of the tea remains within the country. Meaning only a small amount, about 2 percent, is available for purchase around the world.

The price is for one ounce.

Traditional Sencha

This is a Traditional Japanese style Green Tea.  It brews up really green in color and has delicious vegetative notes.  This tea is an acquired taste, however once one begins to appreciate the flavor, nothing can compare.

Sencha is extremely heat sensitive and so it is important to not use boiling water.  The tea should only be steeped for about 2-3 minutes to avoid a bitter cup.
